"The Alaska Republican Party Presidential Preference Poll (PPP) will be conducted from 4 – 8 pm March 6 at locations throughout Alaska."

The location for Fairbanks is the Carlson Center, North Pole is yet to be determined.

Presidential Caucus

The State of Alaska does not have a Presidential Primary election. The recognized political parties in Alaska conduct caucuses to select their delegates to the National Conventions and/or their candidates for President and Vice-President. For more information about party caucuses, please contact the political party.

Redistricting

The division is working on drawing new precinct boundaries based on the June 13, 2011 Proclamation of Redistricting. Voters will receive new voter ID cards in July of 2012.2012 Redistricting District Descriptions with Draft Precinct Descriptions
